Did you think that the big yellow Schwan’s truck only sold ice cream? Maybe you thought it was too pricey and the gourmet frozen food that they wield from the refrigerated box was way out of your price range? The Unbreaded Chicken Breast Filets, are sensational. I originally bought them for myself, to help me watch my diet, and my husband isn’t fond of chicken when it’s baked, but he loves to just throw the packet in the microwave for himself. Now, I don’t know if that’s really how they’re supposed to be cooked, as I’m not one to pay attention to instructions.

I live in the N. Bellingham/Ferndale area and my delivery guy, Bob, is the greatest. Like just about everyone else, I’m on a budget. Fortunately, I qualify for Food Stamp subsidy, which is of great assistance to me. And Bob helps me get the most for my money when I buy from him.

My budget will only afford me to purchase a few items a month from Schwan’s, but I’ve been able to schedule the deliveries to match up when I’m pretty much Food Stamp rich and cash poor (i.e. I’d be scraping up the cash in order to pay for gas to get me to the grocery store.)

If you’re one who often stops for to-go style restaurant food, on the way home from work, you’ll enjoy the ability to just pull the Schwan’s food out of the freezer, pop it into the oven or microwave while you take a shower, or do whatever you need to do around the house while you wait, instead of at the take out counter.
